Addiction?

I think I may have an addiction. What's it called when you want your kids to have all the coolest toys...and then you act on your desire. It's not that they ask for them, or even want them. In fact, they're still at an age where they probably don't care what toys we get them (see previous post marked boxes), and in reality I should take advantage of this stage because one day, they WILL ask for the coolest and most expensive toys, and one day, I may not be able to afford them. Maybe it's because I didn't always get the toys I wanted (don't worry mom, I'm not holding any grudges) or maybe it's that I want to get them so I can play with them. Regardless, Riley has another toy that I think is awesome. Now, if only I could get him to play with it how I want to play with it. (I like to use the remotes, but Riley likes to manually push the train and airplane and wants me to do the same.) It's like when I was a kid and would ask my dad to play dolls with me. He just doesn't do it right.

Aside from Stephanie, anyone else have this "problem"?

Stacie, I had this addiction, too. Watch out, it fills up your closets, your drawers, and then your whole house! Pretty soon you'll have no where to walk! Don't say I didn't warn you!

I just saw that on a commercial the other day and thought "how cool!" but I know Joseph wouldn't really play with it the way the kids in the commercial do. He'd want to take the train and airplane off the tracks and line them up with the rest of his cars. I don't have this addiction, but it's probably only because I can't afford it. I think it's only natural to want your kids to have really cool things.
