It's hard to believe I've been off work for almost a year. I go back to work next week.

Smarty Pants
Jim had two primary goals during the academy. The first was just to pass, and the second was to do so without standing out too much (which is hard enough to do when you stand out anyways because of your height). He wanted to "blend in". He said "you don't want to be the smartest because they start to expect things from you, but you don't want to be the slacker because then they'll give you a hard time. Somewhere in the middle is where you want to be." Well, nice try Jim. He has been named Valadictorian of his graduating class by his classmates. He has to speak at graduation, and even though he's not thrilled with it, Congrats to him anyway!
Presenting the second installment in an ongoing series:
But I'm not tired

Nicholas has started solids and Riley likes to help feed (gag) him. Notice how far Riley is shoving the spoon into Nicholas' mouth.
Riley thinks that a bandaid can make anything better. So, the other day, he said he hurt his eye and insisted I put a bandaid on it. He took it off shortly after he realized he couldn't see out of his eye with it on.

Here's a new game Riley likes to play.
There are a few variations to this game. Other variations include jumping from the top of the stairs to the bottom and another includes jumping from the top to the bottom with a box on his head. Here's a sarcastic thanks to Owen Stiles for bringing out the little daredevil in Riley.
In other news, Nicholas got his first tooth and is sitting up pretty well. He is also able to roll from his back to front and because of it prefers to sleep on his stomach.
